a) SIM Card Activation
Read your operator’s manual.
b) PIN Code
Every SIM card automatically asks for a PIN code.
c) Preprogrammed numbers
Some operators programme numbers on the SIM card for voice mail, etc. Remove these numbers according to the
instructions in your operator’s manual.
d) Preprogramming
Programme your own cell phone number in the first slot on the SIM card for the CU2101. Always precede this
number by +32 (Belgium) or +44 (England) and drop the initial 0. Consult your supplier if your cell phone does not
accept the SIM card.
REMARK : PROGRAMME THE NUMBER ON THE SIM-CARD AND NOT ON YOUR DEVICE !
e) Installing the SIM Card
Remove the rear panel and take out the internal battery R. Insert the SIM card in holder S according to the drawing.
Reinsert battery R and close the CU2101.
f) Operational Test
It is advisable to execute an operational test following the connection of the 12V and the installation of the SIM card.
In order to do this, you must join the orange wire with the orange/white one. Only the dry contact should be an NO
contact.
g) Programming your own cell phone
Programme the CU2101’s cell phone number in your own cell phone using a highly recognisable name that refers
unambiguously to the protected object.
h) Three-Party Call
Activate the so-called three-party call function in your own cell phone for optimum operation of the CU2101. Read the
manual of your own operator. This function enables the CU2101 to reach you at any given time, even when the line
is already engaged.
5. Phone Charges
Contact your operator if you want to know the current telephone charges for the use of your CU2101. These data can
always be found on your operator’s site.
6. Coverage & Check
Use your own cell phone to check whether the CU2101’s SIM card has sufficient coverage.
Read the manual carefully and study the wiring diagrams before installing the CU2101.
Contact your operator if you want to check your call credit or activate your prepay card.
