7. Background information

MIX mode/ stereo control
The receiver receives two signals from the transmitter. These two signals are then processed in

either mixed mode or stereo mode.
• In stereo mode, the signals remain separated, meaning that one signal is heard in the left

earphone, while the other one is heard in the right earphone. The balance between the signals
can be controlled with the balance knob [P]. Turing the knob to one side will cause one signal to
disappear.

• In MIX(ed) mode, input signals are mixed into a mono signal before sent into both earphones.

The balance control determines the blend of the input signals.

• When only a single mono signal is available from the audio source, it can be sent to either one

earphone, or mixed and sent to both earphones.

Squelch
The squelch function can suppress undesired interference signals from other transmission links.
• Switch off the transmitter.

• When the receiver still receives a signal, increase the squelch threshold until the signal is gone.

Note that by doing this, the transmission range will reduce.

• If the interference signal remains, choose a new channel/frequency for transmitter and receiver.
