What is the Silent™ Series grand piano?
The Silent Series is a high-quality, tradi-
tional acoustic grand piano with a special
feature — the unique
Grand Silent system.
By gently pulling the Silent Lever , the ham-
mers can be stopped from hitting the
strings, effectively silencing the piano to all
outside ears. Sophisticated digital electron-
ics take over, reproducing the same rich
tones through stereo headphones. This
allows you to play the piano at any time
without intruding on those around you.
The Grand Silent System is the feature
that makes this the perfect piano
The Grand Silent system is made up of three
distinct components: a hammer shank stop-
per, a
Quick Escape mechanism (patent pen-
ding), and a double sensor system.
The hammer shank stopper prevents the
hammers from hitting the strings. The
Quick Escape mechanism uncompromisin-
gly maintains the superior performance and
touch of a grand piano when you either play
the acoustic piano or the digital piano. Both
components are engaged with the
Silent
Lever .
The double sensor system consists of optical
sensors located on both the hammers and
the keyboard to provide the highest degree
of precision and sensitivity.

Grand Silent ”-System. Indem Sie leicht
an dem “ Silent ” -Hebel ziehen, wird ein Ham-
mer-Stopmechanismus ausgelöst, der die
Berührung der Saiten durch die Hämmer ver-
hindert, und so den Flügel verstummen läßt.
Hochwertige, digitale Elektronik – ein “Digital-
piano” – übernimmt nun die Erzeugung des
gleichen, vollen Klangs – der dann jedoch nur
über Stereokopfhörer zu hören ist. Dadurch ist
es Ihnen möglich, jederzeit lautlos auf Ihrem
Flügel zu spielen, ohne die Menschen in Ihrer
Umgebung zu stören.

Das “ Grand Silent ”-System besteht aus drei
Einheiten: Der Hammer-Stopmechanismus, der
sogenannte “
Quick Escape ”-Mechanismus
(Patent angemeldet), und ein Doppelsensor-
System.
Der Hammer-Stopmechanismus stoppt die
Hämmer, bevor sie die Saiten erreichen können.
Der “
Quick Escape ”-Mechanismus hält ohne
Einbußen das unverwechselbare Spielgefühl
eines Konzertflügels aufrecht, egal, ob Sie aku-
stisch oder digital spielen. Beide Komponenten
werden mit dem
“Silent ” -Hebel aktiviert.
Das Doppelsensor-System besteht aus opti-
schen Sensoren auf sowohl den Hämmern als
auch in der Tastatur, wodurch der höchstmög-
liche Grad an Präzision und Empfindlichkeit
erreicht wird.
