Operating Remora
Communicating with SpectraSuite
The Remora enables you to remotely monitor acquisitions running between the attached Ocean Optics
spectrometer and SpectraSuite operating software. You can also change the spectrometer’s basic
acquisition parameters.
Caution
Remain at least 20 cm away from the Remora while it is in operation.
► Procedure
To use the Remora to communicate with SpectraSuite over Ethernet, follow these steps:
1. Click on Network Spectrometer in the Spectrometer menu. The Network Configuration
Wizard appears.
2. Make sure that you have a spectrometer connected to your Remora. See Connecting Remora to
the Spectrometer for more information.
3. Select Spectrometer with a Remora as the Spectrometer Type and enter the IP address of the
Remora. Make sure the port number is 7654.
