Figure 8: Install The Tensioner
(A) Apply anti-seize to the threads of the 5/16-18 x 1” set screw and thread into
the back of the tensioner body and finger tighten.
(B) Apply anti seize to the remaining exposed threads. Thread the 2-13/32” long
spacer nut onto the set screw and tighten firmly.
(C) Apply anti-seize to the two 5/16-18 x 1” flat head screws, place tensioner
body with spacer nut between the bridge bracket and the A/C bracket. Align
tensioner holes with bridge bracket and thread the two 5/16-18 x 1” flat head
screws through the bridge bracket and into the tensioner and tighten firmly.
(D) Apply anti-seize to the 3/8-16 x 1-1/2” hex head cap screw, thread the hex
head cap screw with 3/8” washer through back of compressor bracket and into
spacer nut and tighten firmly.
For kits without power steering: Tighten all bridge bracket fasteners and
accessory hardware firmly at this time, then proceed to Figure 10.
