2. Components
Headphone Jack
The stereo headphone jack is used to connect the Notebook PC’s audio out to amplified speakers or
headphones.
Audio Input
The stereo audio input jack can be used to connect an external audio source for mixing or recoding
audio from outside sources such as a vinyl record player, mini-disc player, or tape player.
Microphone Input
The mono microphone jack can be used to connect an external microphone if the Notebook PC’s
built-in microphone is not sufficient.
Modem Port (optional)
The port is optional at the time of purchase for modem or fax communications.
