4. Driver installation
Installing the Xonar HDAV Slim card driver
• EnsurethatyouhaveinstalledtheVGAcarddriverbeforeinstallingthe
XonarHDAVdriver�Otherwise,driverinstallationerrormayoccur�
• SomeLCDTVswithHDMIinputsdonotsupportPCvideoresolutions
andmayloseaudiosignalsaswell,exceptingonthefollowingvideo
resolutions:480i/p(640x480,720x480),720p(1280x720),and1080i/p
(1920x1080)�Hence,itissuggestedthatyousetyourLCDTVtooneof
theseTVresolutions�
• IfyouareusinganASUSgraphicscardwiththeASUSEnhanceDisplay
driverinstalled,ensuretoremovethedriverbeforeinstallingtheXonar
HDAVdriver�Otherwise,theGamerOSDdriverinstallationerrormayoccur�
1� AfteryouhaveinstalledtheXonarHDAVSlimcard,turnonyourcomputer�
Windows ® automaticallydetectstheHDAVcardandsearchesfordevice
drivers�Whenpromptedforthedrivers,clickCancel�
2� InsertthesupportCDintotheopticaldrive�IfAutorunisenabledinyour
system,thesetupstartsautomatically�Ifnot,runsetup.exefromyour
supportCD�
3. Follow the onscreen instructions to finish the installation.
TheversionandcontentofthedriverCDaresubjecttochangewithoutnotice�
3� UsinganHDMIcable,connectoneendtotheHDMIoutportoftheXonar
HDAVSlimcardandtheotherendtotheHDMIdisplaydevice�
• EnsurethatyouhaveproperlyconnectedtheDVI-to-HDMIcablefornormal
videosignaltransmission�Otherwise,theremightbenovideoonyour
HDMIdisplaydevice�
• HDMIAVoutputwillworkonlywhenthesourcegraphicscardandthe
terminaldisplaydevicearebothproperlyconnectedtotheXoanrdHDAV
Slim card’s HDMI input/output ports.
