IDE Swap Utility
IDE Swap Introduction
IDE Swap installs a Plug & Play utility to monitor the AiBox port and automatically enable the AiBox and
module device drivers. This utility is also used to disable the device drivers when you want to remove the
AiBox or eject a module device.
WARNING: If you remove the AiBox or module device without stopping the service, it can cause your
Notebook PC to crash and/or lose data.
Using the AiBox
Action While Notebook PC ON While Notebook PC OFF
Attaching Plug AiBox connector anytime, device will be auto enabled Plug AiBox connector anytime when OFF
Detaching Double click on taskbar, click STOP, wait for safe message Un-plug AiBox connector anytime when OFF
Insert module Insert module into AiBox at anytime, device will be auto enabled Insert module into AiBox at anytime when OFF
Remove module Remove module only after you stop the AiBox & unplug connector Remove module at anytime when OFF
When you connect the AiBox or
insert a module, they will be au-
tomatically detected and enabled.
The Enable button is added here
so that you can enable a device if
you change your mind after dis-
abling it. When you double click on the
icon on the taskbar, this
screen will show. Click STOP
before disconnecting the AiBox
from the Notebook PC.
You will get this warning if you
don’t stop the AiBox in Windows
ME.
Stopping the AiBox Before Removing (Windows ME)
Click OK to confirm.
