ASUS MiVo Messenger
ASUS MiVo Messenger (MiVo) allows users of Skype software to place and receive calls over the Internet
using any phone. Using MiVo with Skype it is possible you to make a mobile-to-mobile call anywhere
in the world for the price of a local call. All you need is a broadband connection such as cable or DSL
and access to a regular phone line. MiVo monitors your Skype session and automatically forwards Skype
calls to any phone you’ve selected. The MiVo also works in reverse: you can call your computer and
Skype will forward the call to any person you select from your contact list. The Skype software is a free

Why do you need ASUS MiVo Messenger?
Skype provides the possibility to talk when you are physically connected to your PC - for example with
headset, speakers or USB phone, it as well provides the SkypeOut and SkypeIn services which allow the
user to connect with world outside Skype but you still need PC, besides those services assume additional
monthly fee, while when you are using ASUS MiVo Messenger you will not receive any additional
charges, all you need is internet connection and phone line with ASUS MiVo Messenger and you are
able to make or receive calls being outside of your home and not being attached to PC.

ASUS MiVo Messenger (MiVo) is available for use on HD-Audio MDC hardware platform. ASUS MiVo
provides the user with bridge between Skype Messenger and regular phone (landline or cellular).
Motorola’s innovative software running on the Motorola modem card, creates a voice communication
bridge between PSTN and Skype. Enables this Notebook PC to act as a Personal Voice Gateway (PVG)
and turns the Notebook PC into a full communications center. Extends VoIP benefit from PC-PC or PC-
Phone to Phone-Phone for seamless communication mobility.
