PC Card Slot and Eject
One PCMCIA 2.1 compliant PC Card socket is available to support one type I/II PC card. The socket
supports 32-bit CardBus. This allows accommodation of Notebook PC expansion options such as memory
cards, ISDN, SCSI, Smart Cards, and wireless network adapters.
Audio DJ Power Switch
Slide the latch forward to turn the Audio DJ CD Player ON or OFF. The Audio DJ feature can be operated
without turning ON the Notebook PC.
Microphone Input Jack
The mono microphone jack (1/8 inch) can be used to connect an external microphone or output signals
from audio devices. Using this jack automatically disables the built-in microphone. Use this feature for
video conferencing, voice narrations, or simple audio recordings.
Headphone Output Jack
The stereo headphone jack (1/8 inch) is used to connect the Notebook PC’s audio out signal to ampli-
fied speakers or headphones. Using this jack automatically disables the built-in speakers.
Flash Memory Slot
Normally a PCMCIA memory card reader must be purchased separately
in order to use memory cards from devices such as digital cameras, MP3
players, mobile phones, and PDAs. This Notebook PC has a built-in
memory card reader that can read the following flash memory cards:
Secure Digital (SD), Multi-Media Card (MMC), Memory Stick (MS),
Memory Stick Select (MS Select), Memory Stick Duo (with MS adapter),
Memory Stick Pro, and Memory Stick Pro Duo (with MS Pro adapter).
The built-in memory card reader is not only convenient, but also faster
than most other forms of memory card readers because it utilizes the
high-bandwidth PCI bus.

IMPORTANT! Never remove cards while or immediately after reading, copying, for-
matting, or deleting data on the card or else data loss may occur.
Audio DJ Buttons
The Audio DJ buttons allow you to control CD playing as you would on a portable CD player. The
Audio DJ feature can be operated without turning ON the Notebook PC.
