REMOVE FACTORY AIR SPRING FROM THE VEHICLE. (FIGURE 10-8)

REMOVAL COMPLETE.

2.

PRESSURIZE THE AIR SPRING TO 25 PSI (1.7 BAR).

3.

LOWER THE VEHICLE TO ITS NORMAL RIDE HEIGHT. START VEHICLE AND ALLOW TO RUN FOR

APPROXIMATELY

2 MINUTES TO INFLATE THE REAR AIR SPRING.

4.

VERIFY THE AIR SPRING IS PROPERLY ALIGNED BY MEASURING THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE BOTTOM

PLATE AND THE TOP OF LOWER CONTROL ARM.

INNER SPACING SHOULD BE APPROXIMATELY 19MM

OUTER - APPROXIMATELY 36 MM.

LOWER FROM THE LIFT AND ALLOW THE VEHICLE TO SELF LEVEL.

AIR SPRING INSTALLATION

1.

INSTALLATION IS IN THE REVERSE ORDER OF AIR SPRING REMOVAL USING THE HARDWARE PROVIDED.

Tighten all nuts and bolts to manufacturer's specifications during the installation process.

Arnott Air spring(s) contain a solenoid valve. Only the “Mercedes-Benz DAS Star” diagnostic computer software can

inflate the air spring(s).

Proper procedure is crucial. Failure to follow these directions other than specified can result in vehicle damage and/or

serious personal injury.

Do not remove the air fitting from the air spring. Doing so may cause damage and/or void warranty. Remove the white

shipping pin from the new air fitting and insert the air line until fully seated.
