Sizing Recommendations for Flow Orifices

IMPORTANT: To prevent damage to the water feeder
and possible leaks, DO NOT damage body threads
when removing flow washer.

INSTALLATION –

TOOLS NEEDED:
One (1) vise or pipe wrench and one (1) small screwdriver.

STEP 1 - Installing the New Flow Washer

STEP 2 - Install the Water Feeder

STEP 3 - Test the Water Feeder

a. Using a vise or pipe wrench, securely hold the valve

body (A). Remove the outlet fitting (B) and gasket (C).

a. Follow the installation instructions provided with the water feeder.

a. Before leaving the installation, make sure the water feeder operates

properly and that the valve and fittings do not leak.

b. Carefully, insert a small screwdriver into the orifice

of the flow washer (D) and pry it out of the body.

c. Select the desired flow washer by using the number

on the face of the washer (D).
Identification:

Number 1 = 1 gpm
Number 4 = 4 gpm.

d. Insert the new flow washer in the valve body so that

the identification number faces the body (A), NOT
the outlet fitting (B). Before assembling the outlet
fitting (B), make sure that the flow washer is com-
pletely inserted into the body recess and lying flat.

e. Thread the outlet fitting (B) and gasket back into the

body (A). Securely tighten to approximately 35 lb•ft
(47.5 N•m) of torque.

INSTALLATION COMPLETE
