Alarm Connections and Configuration

Jumper selectable Form A (normally open) or Form B (normally closed) alarm contacts are extended to terminal
blocks located on the control circuit behind the unit’s front panel. See customer connection drawing for default.

Control and sense wires shall be UL approved Style 1015 (for Canadian users, TEW type).

To gain access to the terminal block connectors for the panel shown above, turn the two front panel latches
counter-clockwise and tilt the front panel forward and down.

Route the signal cables through the wireway at the rear of the unit from the monitoring/control equipment as
needed.

Insert each wire – which can range in size from 0.75 to 1.5mm

(20 to 16AWG) – into the appropriate terminal and

tighten the termination screw.

Breaker/Fuse Block Installation

Up to 24 plug-in breakers can be installed in the 23” rack model; 18 in the 19” rack. The dual feed option changes
the number of positions to 2x11 and 2x8 respectively. Consult factory for up-to-date ordering information.

WARNING
Use extreme caution and do not touch any connected equipment.

To gain access to the breakers (or fuse blocks), turn the two front panel latches counter-clockwise and tilt the
front panel forward and down.

Ensure the breaker/fuse block to be installed is in the OFF position.

To install the breaker/fuse block into the swaged bullet receptacles, grasp the block (finger to thumb) by the top
and bottom and gently push (with even force) into the desired mounting position.

Mark the breaker/fuse block position on the chart provided (inside the front panel).
