How to save energy

S The freezer should be installed in a dry,

well ventilated room, not exposed to
direct sunlight and not placed near
aĂheat source (radiator, etc.).

S Do not block the ventilation openings

inĂthe appliance.

S Allow warm food to cool down before

placing it in the freezer.

S Thaw frozen food by placing it in the

refrigerator. The low temperature of
theĂfrozen food cools the food in the
refrigerator.

S Defrost the appliance when ice forms.

AĂthick layer of ice impairs refrigeration
of the frozen food and increases the
power consumption.

S When loading or unloading the freezer,

open the appliance door as briefly as
possible.
The briefer the appliance door is
opened, the lower the ice formation
onĂthe freezer shelves.

S To prevent the food from warming up

quickly in the event of a power failure
orĂmalfunction, take ice blocks from the
freezer tray and place them in the top
compartment directly on the food.
