INSTALLING THE BATTERY:
Your night vision unit operates on one 3V CR123 Lithium type battery.
To install the battery, remove the battery compartment cover (6), located on the
back of the unit by rotating the cover counterclockwise. Install the battery
according to polarity with positive (+) side going into the compartment first.
Once the battery is inside, replace the cover by rotating the cover clockwise until
stop.
TURNING THE UNIT ON AND OFF:
Your night vision unit has one-touch push-buttons. To turn the unit ON, first
remove the objective lens cover (9) (ONLY IN THE DARK!) and press the power
button (2) until the little green light indicator (4) located on the top of the unit
near the power button lights up. Look through the ocular (3) – you should see
the green glow. Even if the image is not yet sharp, the unit is operating. To turn
the unit OFF, press the power button again and make sure the green light
indicator is off. The green glow will continue for up to several minutes, depending
on the outside light conditions. This is normal. Always replace the objective lens
cover after the unit is turned off and no longer is in use.
FOCUSING THE UNIT:
To obtain the sharp image, first rotate the ocular focusing wheel (3) in either
direction, until you notice in which position the image is at its best. Then rotate
the objective lens focusing wheel (8) until you are able to obtain the best possible
image. You may have to repeat the process again, until the image is sharp and
clear. Once the clear image is obtained, you no longer need to adjust the ocular.
Just rotate the objective lens to adjust to the distance of the object you are
viewing.
USING INFRARED ILLUMINATOR:
To turn the Infrared illuminator ON, press the Infrared illuminator button (1) until
the red light indicator (5) is on. To turn the infrared light off, press the same
button again and make sure the red light indicator is off.
When using the infrared illuminator it is important to remember that like a
flashlight, it is brightest when used in short distances. As the distance increases,
the intensity of the infrared light fades away.
