Instructions for the Replacement of the MEA2100 Contact Unit

IMPORTANT
Please disconnect the MEA2100-System from the electrical outlet!
Please follow the instructions with great care!
Only experienced persons should change the MEA2100 contact unit. The three different types
of MEA2100 contact units A60, A2x60 and A120 are connected to the headstage in the same way.
1. Unscrew the four screws on the front panel of the MEA2100 headstage with the provided
allen key. Keep the screws for reusing them later.
The MEA2100-A60 contact unit
is characterized by a single ring
of contact pins around the open
area for the MEA chip. The 60MEA
is equipped with a single ring
of contact pads, respectively.
The MEA2100-A120 contact unit
is characterized by a double ring
of contact pins around the open
area for the MEA chip. The 120MEA
is equipped with a double ring
of contact pads, respectively.
The MEA2100-A2x60 contact unit
is characterized by a single ring
of contact pins around each of the
both open areas for the MEA chip.
The two 60MEAs are equipped
with a single ring of contact pads,
respectively.
