RINSE AND WASH ALL OUTSIDE SURFACES OF PUMP WITH CLEAN, WARM SOAPY WATER.

FLUSH AND RINSE INSIDE OF PUMP

• Mix 2 oz (5 mL) of dishwashing detergent with 1 qt. (.95 L) of tap water (110ºF/ 43ºC).

Place lower end of pump into mixture and operate pump until entire contents of

solution is pumped through.

• Pump 2 c (.5 L) of tap water (110ºF/ 43ºC) through pump.

• Mix one 1 oz (30 mL) packet of KAY-5 Sanitizer/Cleaner (EPA REG NO 5389-15) with

2½ gal (9.5 L) of tap water (room temperature). Then operate pump until 1 qt. (.95 L)

of sanitizer solution is pumped through.

• Rinse inside of pump by operating the pump until 1 c (.24 L) of tap water (110ºF/ 43ºC)

is pumped through.

Clean pump before first use and after use daily.

Stainless steel parts CAN corrode. It is important to clean rinse, sanitize and dry all parts daily

and properly to prevent corrosion.

Failure to comply with any of these instructions may void unit warranty.

• Do not use abrasive cleansers, scrapers, steel pads, steel wool,

or other cleaning tools that can scratch any polished surfaces.

• Do not use cleansing agents with high concentrations of acid, alkaline, or chlorine.

CLEAN PUMP “IN PLACE”-

CLEAN PUMP DISASSEMBLED -

OR

1 FLUSH AND RINSE PUMP.

Place lower end of pump in a container of warm water and operate

pump until all (if any) remaining product is expelled and only warm water flows from discharge tube.

Then remove pump from container of water to disassemble.

2 DISASSEMBLE PUMP.

3 WASH AND SCRUB ALL PARTS IN CLEAN, WARM SOAPY WATER.

Wash small parts in a pan or other

container to prevent part loss.

4 USE SUPPLIED BRUSHES TO CLEAN ALL CONFINED AREAS.

Maintain a clean and efficient pump by

using brushes, supplied with pump to prevent product build up inside pump.

5 IMPORTANT PUMP AREAS TO CLEAN.

• Use brush 82049 to clean inside cylinder thoroughly.

• Use brush 82526 to clean inside discharge tube, valve body, optional orificed plug

and optional suction tube thoroughly.

6 FULLY RINSE ALL PARTS with clear water.

• Abrasive cleansing agents can corrode stainless steel. Fully rinsing all parts can

prevent corrosion.

7 SANITIZE PARTS FOLLOWING LOCAL SANITIZATION REQUIREMENTS.

• All parts in contact with food must be sanitized.

8 ALLOW PARTS TO FULLY AIR DRY AFTER SANITIZATION.

• Various elements and minerals, such as chlorides in tap water can accumulate on stainless

steel parts and create corrosion. To prevent corrosion on any stainless steel parts, it is

important to fully air dry, as required after sanitization, or to fully dry with a clean soft cloth

regularly.

Stainless steel is the preferred material for food serving and storage but many products can corrode it.

If corrosion begins on any stainless steel surface change cleansing agent, sanitizing agent or cleaning

procedures.

• PRODUCTS CONTAINING: ACIDS, ALKALINE, CHLORINE OR SALT CAN

CORRODE STAINLESS STEEL.

• SAUERKRAUT CORRODES STAINLESS STEEL.

Server Products Inc will not honor warranty claims on stainless steel parts affected

by sauerkraut.

According to food and safety regulations, most foods must be stored and/or served at certain specified

temperatures to prevent them from becoming potentially hazardous.

Check with local food and safety regulators for specific guidelines.

• BE AWARE OF PRODUCT BEING DISPENSED AND TEMPERATURE MAINTAINING

REQUIREMENTS.

Server Products Inc will not be responsible for dispensing

of potentially hazardous product.

• NSF International lists this pump as:

“Not acceptable for dispensing potentially hazardous foods.”
