Antenna Location Tips

> Find where your broadcasts are coming from

and mount the antenna on that side of the house.

Visit

maps

, enter your zip code in the Location

box, then click on the each broadcaster to see

where its tower is.

> Although this antenna is designed to work in

both horizontal and vertical orientations, try

mounting the antenna horizontally if possible.

This antenna usually performs best when it’s

oriented in a straight horizontal line, pointing

toward broadcast towers.

> Mount the antenna as high as you safely can.
The higher the elevation of the antenna, the

better the reception performance will be.

> Do not mount the antenna on a metal surface.
Metal can interfere with reception and can

degrade performance.

> Try to keep the antenna away from trees or

other obstructions.

Nearby tall structures or trees standing

between the antenna and the broadcast signal

can block or interfere with those signals.

Keep in mind there are lots of factors that can affect your reception.

Tall buildings, mature trees, even hills between you and the broadcast

towers can interfere and change the direction of the signals you

receive. Even though the DTOC is omnidirectional, you might still need

to make minor adjustments after you mount the antenna to account

for these factors.
