Step 3:

Connect the cable to the SATA disk. Connect the connector on the other end

of the cable to the connector at the back of the SATA drive. See Figure 4-13.

Step 4:

Connect the SATA power cable (optional). Connect the SATA power

connector to the back of the SATA drive. See Figure 4-13.

The SATA power cable can be bought from IEI. See Optional Items in Section 2.4.

4.5 External Peripheral Interface Connection

This section describes connecting devices to the external connectors on the IMB-Q670.

4.5.1 Audio Connector

The audio jacks on the external audio connector enable the IMB-Q670 to be connected to

a stereo sound setup. Each jack supports both input and output. When connecting a

device, the High Definition Audio utility will automatically detect input or output. The lime

green (top) audio jack does not support input from a microphone. To install the audio

devices, follow the steps below.
