For certain mounting applications, where the solenoid needs to be mounted at the rear of
the vehicle, switch the battery and motor leads. In this case, connect the black w/yellow
stripe lead to the positive (+) terminal of the battery, and the longer black lead to the nega-
tive (-) terminal. Connect the red lead and the shorter black lead to the motor terminals.
