RECEIVING INSPECTION

Inspect all cassettes for freight damage upon receipt.
Inspect cassette frame, wheel assembly and segments
for damage and verify wheel turns freely by hand
(c lockwise when v iewed from pul ley side). Report any
damage immedi ately to the freight company.

HANDLING

Handle cassettes with care . All cassettes should be
lifted by the bearing support beam. Holes are provided
on both si des of the bearing support beams to facilitate
rigging (see page 4, Figure 1).

Models ERC-64 Series and larger are shi pped with
wheel segments removed from the wheel frame to
facilitate installation of cassette into unit. Segments
should be properly stored during installati on of cassette
to avoid damage on the factory floor (See page 6,
Figures 4 & 5 for segment ins tallation).
