4. The Client sees the response coming from an unknown IP address (other than the one that it
sent the request to) and drops the packet.

In
the traffic flow of the configuration is changed by enabling Source NAT as described in
the following:
1. A request from the Client arrives at the Brocade Virtual ADX through a Layer 2 switch.
2. The Brocade Virtual ADX translates the VIP IP address to the IP address of the real server,
replaces the IP address of the client with it’s own IP address and forwards the request to the
real server.
3. The real server sees the request coming from the IP address of the Brocade Virtual ADX and
replies back through the Layer 2 switch to the Brocade Virtual ADX.
4. The Brocade Virtual ADX translates the IP address of the real server to the VIP IP address and
replies to the client.
