modules consists of “+” and “–” power loop and the 4-20 madc signal loop referenced to the “–” power
loop. The fault relay is normally energized and will de-energize in the event of open power or signal loop
between sensor and control module. Additionally, the fault circuit will illuminate the front panel fault
LED. The power loop to the remote sensor is fused (1/2 amp) on the motherboard to prevent circuit dam-
age as a result of reverse polarity termination, induced transient spikes or shorted field wiring (see figures
#1 & #2).

Power Sense Bypass
When a sensor from the Detcon DM series or IR series is used with the Model 110A-FB controller, the power
sense bypass jumper must be installed on JP5 to prevent a false fault alarm. This jupers purpose is to bypass
the heater/bridge fault detection circuitry which is not needed when used with Detcon oxygen, toxic or
infrared gas sensors. To install the jumper, remove the 4 screws that secure the face plate to the circuit
board, lift off the face plate, place the jumper on JP5 and then reinstall the face plate (reference fig. #1).

NSTALLATION

01. Securely mount the 110A-FB enclosure (see figure #3).

02. Connect 117 VAC input wiring to the lugless terminal strip (labeled VAC IN) on the controller mother

board (see figure #4). Line power current load is maximum 1/5 amp.
