Things that
are normal

Interference

■ TV/radio interference might be

noticed while using the microwave.
Similar to the interference caused by
other small appliances, it does not
indicate a problem with the microwave.
Move the radio or TV as far away from
the microwave as possible, or check the
position of the TV/radio antenna.

Lights

■ The oven light will not come on

during a microwave cooking cycle.
To see the food that is cooking,
press MICROWAVE/OVEN LIGHT.
The light will come on and stay on
for the remainder of the microwave
cooking cycle.

Oven Heat

■ Cookware may become hot because of

heat transferred from the heated food.
Oven mitts may be needed to handle
the cookware.

■ Steam or vapor may escape from around

the door.

Sounds

■ You may hear a dull thumping sound

while the oven is operating.
