CHEMICAL INJECTION SYSTEM

The chemical injection system is unique in that it
utilizes the pressure spikes generated by the high-
pressure water pump to move chemical into the
main pressure stream. The high pressure spikes
move the diaphragm in the chemical pulse pump
forcing small amounts of liquid chemical to be
moved in a single direction of flow with the aid of two
check valves.

The chemical is picked up from the container and
fed through the flow meter to the chemical pulse
pump where it is pressurized.

After reaching the chemical pulse pump the
chemicals can either go into a bypass loop to purge
air from the system. The chemical can then be
directed by the chemical selector valve to the
metering valve. The metering valve creates an
orifice allowing the correct amount of chemical to
enter the outlet manifold. The outlet manifold
assembly is complete with a check valve that will not
allow the chemicals to travel upstream into the
plumbing system of the unit.

The chemicals are then mixed with hot pressurized
water that make up a solution for cleaning
application.
