Attach the face plate and fasten the screw

Cleaning the machine
surface
If the surface of the machine is dirty, lightly soak a
cloth in neutral detergent, squeeze it out firmly, and
then wipe the surface of the machine. After cleaning
it once with a wet cloth, wipe it again with a dry
cloth.
Cleaning the shuttle race

Turn off the machine and unplug it.

Raise the needle and the presser foot, and
then remove the presser foot and the needle.

Remove the flat bed attachment and open the
shuttle cover at the front of the free arm.

Remove the bobbin case by pulling its latch
toward you and pulling it out from the shuttle
race.

Slide the latch levers out from the retaining
ring to remove it.
