reating pattern fills with the extra tools in the Tool bar of the Programmable Stitch
Creator is a breeze now! You only have to draw a part of the pattern, and then you can

select, copy, mirror or flip it. You’ll love it.

Exercise 5 – Creating a pattern fill


Step 1 – Start the Programmable Stitch Creator

Start the program part Programmable Stitch Creator and set the Grid to “Narrow”.

Step 2 – Draw the first line of the pattern

Activate the Line tool (third in Tool Box on the left) and start drawing the first line, click at the
starting point, move to the next point, click, move to the next point, click etc. Double click
when the line is finished. You will notice that the line will automatically “stick” to a grid box;
with the grid set to Narrow, you can draw finer shapes than with the “Wide” grid.

Step 3 – Select, copy, paste, flip, mirror and move the line

Activate the select tool and select the line. Copy it by clicking the Copy Button in the General
Toolbar and paste it with the Paste Button. A copy is placed exactly on top of the original.
While this copy is still selected, click the Horizontal Mirror Button in the General Toolbar, then
