Initializing the Camera from the Reset Switch

If you have forgotten the IP address or Administrator password of the VB-C300, you cannot use it

via the network. In this case, press the Reset switch at the bottom of the unit.

1. Power off the camera.

Refer to “Turning the Power ON and OFF” (

→dStart Guide P.2-5) for how to power on or off

the camera.

2. Press and hold the Reset switch and power on the camera, then hold the

Reset switch for at least five seconds.

The Reset switch is located toward the rear on the bottom. Use a thin tipped object to press
the Reset switch.

All settings except for the date, time, and time zone in the VB-C300 will be initialized.

Note

If you use the Reset switch to initialize the VB-C300, all the settings of the camera

including the network-related settings (i.e., IP address, subnet mask, and default

gateway address) are initialized. Therefore, you cannot use the camera from the PC

connected to the camera via the network after reset. Set the IP address and other

network parameters for your environment using VBSetup.exe on the supplied Setup

CD-ROM (

→dStart Guide P.2-7).
