5.6 Security
The Security menu allows you to secure the phone
electronically.
1. Press [MENU], 2 times, , , .
2. Enter the four-digit lock code.
The lock code is the last 4 digits of your mobile
phone number if it is set.
The lock code is the last 4 digits of ESN DEC if your
mobile phone number is not set.
5.6.1 Lock Mode
Keeps your phone from unauthorized use. Once the
phone is locked, it's in restricted mode until the
lock code is entered. You can receive phone calls
and still make emergency calls. You can modify the
lock code using Edit Code submenu within the
Security menu.

3. Press Lock Mode.

Device / Location
Device
Lock The phone is always locked. When
locked, you can receive incoming
calls and only make emergency calls.
Unlock The phone is never locked (Lock
mode can be used).
On Power Up The phone is locked when it is
turned on.
Location
Lock The lock code is required when you
enter location menu. The lock code is
also the last 4 digits of your phone
number, the same that you use as
your device lock code.
Unlock If the lock mode is deactivated, you
don't have to enter the lock code.
