7. Connect the power and data cable to the optical drive.
8. Install the access panel (on page 26 ).
9. Power up the server (on page 24 ).
Redundant hot-plug power supply option
CAUTION: To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless
all bays are populated with either a component or a blank.
1. Access the product rear panel (on page 26 ).
2. Remove the power supply blank.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury from hot surfaces, allow the power supply or
power supply blank to cool before touching it.
