Option S – Start Testing Device

When -S is selected, NSPDIAG starts processing the commands in the data file. When
a device name is not specified, the error message ‘Invalid device name’ displays.
When both data file and batch file are specified, the error message ‘Both data file and
batch file specified’ appears. When neither data file nor batch file is specified, the error
message ‘Data or batch file need to be specified’ appears.

Option T – Timed Repeat Count

This option allows NSPDIAG to send the same command repeatedly for the specified
number of times to the NSP. The default number is 0. When -T is selected, the current
number and the prompt for new number is displayed. When the new number is over
15,000 an error message appears and the prompt for a new number is displayed
again.

Example:

When the data file contains three commands in the following order:

C1, C2, C3

When the value for option -T is 2 and the value for option -R is 1, then the following
command sequence is sent to the device:

C1, C1, C2, C2, C3, C3

When the value for option -T is 2, and the value for option -R is 3, the following
command sequence is sent to the device:

C1, C1, C2, C2, C3, C3, C1, C1, C2, C2, C3, C3, C1, C1, C2,
C2, C3, C3

When option -T has a non-zero value, additional information is logged, but not
displayed on the screen.

The following sample illustrates the additional information, the value for option -T is
1000.

Option V – Verbose Mode

When -V is selected, Verbose mode is toggled. The default value is off. When Verbose
mode is on NSPDIAG displaying the command, expected response and actual
response to screen and log. When Verbose mode is off NSPDIAG displays the
command, expected response and actual response to screen and log only when
expected response does not match actual response.
