You can migrate data from an SMI-S enabled storage system to another storage system.
Prerequisites
•
Register Tiered Storage Manager license.
•
Set up Tiered Storage Manager CLI (if necessary).
•
Set up Device Manager CLI (if necessary)
•
Connect port on the SMI-S enabled storage system to External port of the storage system via Fibre
Channel.
•
Assign the volumes on the SMI-S enabled storage system to External port (performed by the man-
agement tool of the SMI-S enabled storage system).
•
Gather the following information:
• Name or IP address of the allocation target host.
