Remote Web Console

Remote Web Console (RWC) is connected to the P9500 storage system through the TCP/IP
local-area network (LAN). RWC communicates and exchanges data directly with the connected
storage system.

Use RWC to do the following:

Create the data pools and V-VOLs. For more information:

About creating data pools, see

(page 44)

.

RAID Manager

Use RAID Manager to perform pair operations. RAID Manager is set up on the host server. SS
commands are sent from RAID Manager to a command device on the storage system and is volume
dedicated to RAID Manager communications. Other HP software applications cannot use this
volume.

Pair status

The status of a pair is an indicator of its condition. You check the status to see when an operation
is completed or when an operation can be done. For more information about monitoring pair
information, license capacity, and status, see

“Monitoring pair information, license capacity, status”
