In the Select Pool Volumes window>Available Pool Volumes table, select the pool-VOLs
you want in the table.

- To select all pool-VOLs in the list, click Select All Pages.

- To filter the line, click ON in the Filter field.

- To specify the number of lines to be displayed, click Options and make the selection.

Click OK.

The Select Pool Volumes window closes. The number of the selected pool volumes is shown
in Total Selected Pool Volumes, and the total capacity of the selected pool-VOL is shown
in Total Selected Capacity.

Click Finish.

6.

In the Confirm window’s Task Name box, enter the task name.

7.

Click Apply.

Recovering pools

This operation is for failure recovery of a blocked pool. Ordinarily you should not need to perform
this operation.
1.

In the Remote Web Console tree, select Pool.

2.

From the names that appear below Pool, select one or more pools that you want to recover.

3.

Click More Actions > Restore Pools.

4.

In the Restore Pools window’s Task Name text box, enter the task name.

5.

Click Apply.

NOTE:

The recovery time for pools varies depending on pool or V-VOL usage. Calculate roughly

20 minutes of recovery time for every 100 TB of pool or V-VOL usage. Recovery time also varies
according to the amount of workload on the system.

Changing pool threshold

When you want to change the pool threshold, perform the following procedure. By monitoring the
pool usage rate, you can prevent the pool from being full capacity.
1.

In the Remote Web Console tree, select Pool.

2.

From the names that appear below Pool, click the pool whose threshold you want to change.

3.

Click More Actions, to select Edit Pools.

4.

In the Edit Pools window, check Warning Threshold.

5.

In the Warning Threshold text box, enter a new threshold.

The range of threshold is shown below the text box.

6.

Click Finish.

7.

In the Confirm window’s Task Name text box, enter the task name.

8.

Click Apply.

Changing pool name

1.

In the Remote Web Console tree, select Pool.

2.

From the names that appear below Pool, click the pool whose name you want to change.

3.

Click More Actions, to select Edit Pools..

4.

In the Edit Pools window, check Pool Name.

5.

In the Pool Name text box, enter a new pool name. You can enter a total of 32 characters for
the Prefix and Initial Number.

- In the Prefix text box, enter alphanumeric characters (case-sensitive).

- In the Initial Number text box, enter a number of up to nine digits.
