Replacing the keyboard
Replace the keyboard after accessing the hard drive and other components.
To replace the keyboard:
1.
Turn the computer right-side up on a flat surface with the front toward you.
2.
Open the computer as far as possible.
3.
Place the keyboard upside-down (1) on the palm rest with the top facing toward you
4.
Insert the ribbon cable (2) into the ZIF connector and then close the ZIF connector latch (3) to
secure the keyboard and ribbon cable to the system board.
5.
Flip over the keyboard on the palm rest.
6.
Lift the top side of the keyboard up at an angle and insert the alignment tabs (1) on the bottom
edge of the keyboard with the notches on the computer.
7.
Rotate the keyboard down (2) until it is seated flat into position.
