1. Power down the server (on page 15 ).
2. Disconnect the power cord from the AC source.
3. Disconnect the power cord from the server.
4. Remove the chassis cover (on page 19 ).
5. Remove the system board assembly (on page 20 ).
CAUTION: Any attempt to remove an installed TPM from the system board breaks or disfigures
the TPM security rivet. Upon locating a broken or disfigured rivet on an installed TPM,
administrators should consider the system compromised and take appropriate measures to ensure
the integrity of the system data.
6. Install the TPM board. Press down on the connector to seat the board (" System board components " on
page 9 ).
7. Install the TPM security rivet by pressing the rivet firmly into the system board.
8. Install the system board assembly (on page 22 ).
9. Connect the power cord to the server.
10. Press the Power On/Standby button.
