Creating New Virtual Copies

(Optional) You can either accept the default name based on the time when the virtual copy
is created, or you can enter a name of your choosing. The virtual copy name cannot exceed
32 characters.

When creating the virtual copy, you have the choice of changing the Ensure Application
Consistency option (set by default) to specify whether or not the newly created virtual
copy should adhere to the data standards used by supported application. Selecting this
option ensures that the data can be accessed using VM tools that support these formats but
may increase the amount of time required to create and access the virtual copy as well as
the amount of space that is required for the data.

Click OK. The virtual copy creation task is submitted and started.
NOTE: If you do not wish to name the virtual copy set, click OK. The created
virtual copy is identified by a date and time stamp.
NOTE: Application consistency is not supported on Exchange Databases that have
been configured using Physical Compatibility RDM LUNs.
