SWAY-BAR RELOCATION BRACKETS – ‘05+ MUSTANG

Part # SRK001


1. Lift the rear of the vehicle and support it’s weight by the suspension. This can be done with a drive-on

service lift, ramps or jack stands.

2. Remove both rear wheels.
3. Loosen and remove the lower shock bolts using a 15mm socket. Open trunk and pull back the inner trunk

liner to gain access to the upper shock mounts. Using a 15mm deep socket, remove the upper shock nuts.
Remove both shocks.

4. Locate the outer swaybar mounts on the axle and remove the two bolts on each side using a 13mm socket.
5. Remove the bolts and clips shown in Figure 1 below.
6. Insert the square shoulder bolt into the center hole of the BMR relocation bracket and position it on to the

OE mount as shown in Figure 2 below, lining up the lower mounting hole of the bracket with the center hole
of the rear end.

7. Mark the rear end bracket for cutting using the BMR relocation bracket as a template (Figure 2)
8. Cut off the bracket with a hacksaw or cut-off wheel and debur.
9. Re-install the BMR relocation bracket using the center mounting bolt, washer and nut.
10. With both sides modified and the brackets installed, re-position the swaybar to the new mount location and

install the provided hardware. Tighten all bolts.

11. Re-install wheels and lower vehicle.
