Sealed, factory-activated batteries, Before you start, Charging your battery
SEALED, FACTORY-ACTIVATED BATTERIES
Save this safety and instruction manual.
• Always wear proper eye, face and hand protection.
• Keep all sparks, flames and cigarettes away from the battery.
• Make sure work area is well ventilated.
• Never lean over battery while boosting, testing or charging.
• Exercise caution when working with metallic tools or conductors,
to prevent short circuits and sparks.
• If battery acid contacts your skin or clothing, immediately wash
the area with soap and water.
• If battery acid is spilled, spread baking soda over spill and dilute
with large amounts of water.

READ THE ENTIRE MANUAL BEFORE USING THIS PRODUCT. FAILURE TO FOLLOW SAFETY WARNINGS COULD RESULT
IN SEVERE PERSONAL INJURY AND/OR PROPERTY DAMAGE FROM FIRE, EXPLOSION AND/OR ACID BURNS.
1. An initial charge is required before placing the battery into service.
2. Check the battery state of charge (see chart below).
NOTE: If the voltage is less than 100%, or the battery was not used for at least 30 days, the battery must be recharged.
3. Use an automatic battery charger/maintainer with 1A, 2A or 3A settings. Do not leave the battery unattended while charging;
monitor periodically.
4. Once the battery is fully charged, disconnect the charger and put the battery into service.
5. Charge the battery immediately after purchase, after each use and every 30 days.

CHARGING YOUR BATTERY:
1. Keep fully charged battery stored in cool, dry area, away from rain, sunlight, furnace or heat source.
2. Charge battery once a month and maintain voltage of 12.65V (12V) or 6.39V (6V) or higher, or leave connected to an automatic
charger/maintainer.
