ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Mount the coulter bracket to planter plate, using three 1/2” x 1-1/2” bolts, washers and lock nuts.
2. Mount the adjustment plate to coulter bracket using two 1/2” x 1-1/2” carriage bolts and lock nuts.
NOTE: Using the holes of the adjustment plate as illustrated in Figure A, the coulter blade will be 7/16”
above the bottom of the 15” planter blade.
3. Blade
Assembly
Insert the ‘D’ bolt through the 1/4” thick flatwasher and then the hub and bearing assembly. When
assembling blade between hubcap and bearing hub, be sure the slot in the blade is in alignment with
small hole in bearing hub and groove on inside of hubcap. Use four 5/16” x 1-1/2” carriage bolts and
lock nuts to bolt blade to hub.
4. Install blade assembly onto adjustment plate as illustrated in Figure A using the 3” ‘D’ bolt and lock nut.
Torque 150 ft.lbs.
5. Align coulter blade with opener blades, tighten bolts securing bracket to planter.
NOTE: 3/8” adjustments can be made up or down as needed for blade wear or soil conditions.
