Chapter 2. Hardware Details
This chapter describes the FriendlyNET router hardware.

The FriendlyNET router provides color-coded indicators to show the status of various functions.
• Reset. To restore the router to factory default settings, hold the recessed reset button for
about 5 seconds. The Status LED should flash 5 times. Release the button.

Internet Link/Activity
On when properly linked to a cable/DSL modem.
Blinks with activity.
Internet 100 Mbps
On when connected at 100 Mbps; off at 10 Mbps.

LAN Link/Activity
On when properly linked to a local computer. Blinks
with activity.
LAN 100 Mbps
On when connected at 100 Mbps; off at 10 Mbps.
Status
System Status
Blinks during power-on self-test and reset.
Wireless
Wireless Activity
Blinks with activity.
Power
Power
System is powered on.
