APPENDIX C. TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
REQUIREMENTS
•
Personal Computer.
•
USB Cable, P/N 22517582, or 22517583
•
AC adapter, P/N 64300050.
USB Driver, on a CD P/N 30035077, from the MagTek web site P/N 99510038
.
•
MICRbase program, P/N 22000021.
•
Sample checks, P/N 96530005.
•
A small bottle of compressed air.
•
A cleaning card, P/N 96700006.
SET-UP
1. Ensure the USB Driver is installed (see Section 2 for details).
2. Plug the USB Interface Cable into the MICR and the host, 9-pin Mini Din, Male, USB A
Plug, 6’, Part Number 22517582, or Part Number 22517583.
3. Power on the MICR Reader.
4. Run the MICRbase program on the PC.
5. Press <F9> to establish communication between the PC and the MICR Reader.
6. Start trouble-shooting procedure at Step 00.

LED
Check the status of the LED indicator:
◊ off, continue to step 01.
◊ green, continue to step 02.
◊ blinking red, continue to step 11.
◊ blinking green, continue to step 16.
◊ blinking red/green, continue to 12.
◊ red or orange, continue to step 17.
