Various Playback Operations
Still playback (pause) ( / ZZ
)
Press the OK button during playback.
- To resume normal playback, press the OK button again.
Search playback ( / )
During playback, press and hold the Control button ( ) for forward search
or the Control button ( ) for reverse search.
Pressing the Control button ( / ) repeatedly increases the search
speed for each direction repeatedly.
- RPS (Reverse Playback Search) rate: x2
¢x4¢x8¢x16
- FPS (Forward Playback Search) rate: x2 ¢x4¢x8¢x16
To resume normal playback, press the OK button.
Skip playback ( Z
/
Z )
During playback, press the Control button ( ) to locate the start point of the
next fi le. Pressing the Control button ( ) repeatedly skips fi les in the forward direction.
During playback, press the Control button ( ) to locate the start point of the current fi le.
Pressing the Control button ( ) repeatedly skips fi les in the reverse direction.
Press the Control button ( ) within 3 seconds from the start point and the fi rst image of the previous fi le is
skipped.
Frame-by-frame playback ( ZZ / ZZ )
In pause mode, use the Control button ( / ) to move the video forward or backward one frame at a time.
- To resume normal playback, press the OK button.
Slow motion playback ( Z / Z )
During pause, holding the Control button ( / ) reduces the playback speed.
During slow motion playback, pressing the Control button repeatedly ( / ) changes the playback speed.
- Forward slow playback rate: x1/2 ¢ x1/4 ¢ x1/8 ¢ x1/16
- Reverse slow playback rate: x1/2 ¢ x1/4 ¢ x1/8 ¢ x1/16
- To resume normal playback, press the OK button.
Recorded sound does not play in slow motion playback.

Adjusting the volume
Press the Control button ( / ) to increase or decrease the volume.
The volume bar disappears after approximately 3 seconds.
You can hear the recorded sound from the built-in speaker.
You can set the level anywhere between 0 and 10.
(If you close the LCD screen while the camcorder is playing, you will not
hear the sound from the speaker.)
The volume bar does not appear if you have inserted the Audio/Video
cable jack. •
