This section describes how to send or receive different types of messages. It also explains the features and
functionality associated with messaging.
Types of Messages
Your phone provides the following message types:

Text Messages

Picture Messages
•
Voice Note
•
Voice Mail
•
Broadcast Messages (SIM Dependent)
•
Instant Messaging
Message Icons on the Icon Line
The
icon displayed at the top of the screen indicates that a new text message was received. The
icon
indicates a new picture message was received. For more information, refer to “Icons” on page 14.
View Tab
The View Tab is an area that displays on the screen when a missed call, new message, or voicemail is sent to the
phone.
