Status Bar
The Status Bar displays icons to show device status.
3G Coverage: 3G network coverage is available.
3G Connection Active: Device is active on a 3G
network.
1x Coverage: 1xRTT network coverage is available.
1x Connection Active: Device is active on a 1xRTT
network.
Signal Strength: Current signal strength. The greater
the number of bars, the stronger the signal.
Roaming: Your phone is outside the home coverage
area, and roaming mode is active.
Airplane Mode Active: All wireless communications
are disabled. See “Airplane mode” on page 85.
System Alert: Check Notifications Panel for alerts.
Battery Level: Shown fully charged.
Charging Indicator: Battery is charging.
Device Power Critical: Battery has less than twenty
percent (20%) power remaining.
USB Connected: Device is connected to a computer
using a USB cable.
New Message: You have new message(s).
New Email Message: You have new email.
Alarm Set: An alarm is active. For more information,
refer to “Alarm Clock” on page 72.
Silent mode: All sounds except media and alarms are
silenced, and Vibrate mode is not active. See “Silent
mode” on page 91.
Vibrate mode: Silent mode and Vibrate mode are
active. See “Vibrate” on page 91.
Preparing SD Card: A memory card is installed.
SD Card Removed: Memory card was uninstalled.
Bluetooth Active: Bluetooth is turned on.
Wi-Fi Active: Wi-Fi is connected, active, and
communicating with a Wireless Access Point (WAP).
Wi-Fi Action Needed: Action needed to connect to
Wireless Access Point (WAP).
Location On: Location service(s) are active.
