Remote Control (Type 2)
You can use the remote control up to a distance of about 23 feet from the TV. When using the remote, always
point it directly at the TV.
You can also use your remote control to operate most VCR’s and cable boxes. See page 4.1 for details.

P ress to turn the TV on and off.

Press to directly select chan-
nels on the TV.
ˇ SLEEP
Press for the TV to automati-
cally turn off after an amount
of time that you set.

Press to add channels or to
add features while working
with the on-screen menus.

P ress to erase channels or to
canel features while working with
the on-screen menus.

Press to directly select chan-
nels over 100. For example, to

∏ REW(Rewind)
Press to rewind a tape in your
VCR.

Press to begin recording with
your VCR.

Press to stop a tape in your
VCR.
˝ MUTE
Press to mute (silence) the vol-
ume.
Ô CH ▲ and CH ▼ (Channel)
Press CH ▲ or CH ▼ to
change channels. Also use
with the on-screen menu sys-
tem.
 P-STD
Press to adjust the TV picture by
selecting one of the special facto-
ry settings or your own custom
setting.
