Turning the Computer On and Off
On the Charms

Open the Charms.
• Touch screen: Swipe inward from the right edge.
• Touchpad/mouse: Drag the mouse pointer to the top- or
the bottom-right corner of the screen.

> Power

> Shut down.
If you want to power off your computer when you are logged
out, unlock the screen and click Power

> Shut down.
Unlocking the screen
To unlock the lock screen, do one of the following:
Touchpad/mouse: • Click the lock screen.
Keyboard: • Press any key.
