Calling With Google Now
Use Google Now to call your contacts, or to speak a phone
number and call it. you can also search for
1. Press and hold the Home Key.
2. Say “OK Google”, or tap the microphone on the screen.
3. Speak a command, or say a phone number.
Tip: There’s also a Google Now widget that you can add to the
Home screen. For more information, see “Add a Widget”
on page 23.
Calling With Car Mode
With Car Mode, you have one-touch access to featured apps,
and can speak commands to make calls.
1. From the Home screen, tap
Phone >
> Car
mode, and then Always, or Just once.
2. Say “Hi Galaxy”, and then speak a command, or say a
phone number.
Tip: You can tap the Phone icon, to have Car Mode give you
voice prompts to help you make calls.
Calling with S Voice
Use S Voice to speak a phone number or a contact’s name
and dial it automatically.
1. From the Home screen, tap
Apps >
S Voice.
2. Speak a command. Some examples include:
• Say “Call”, followed by the name of a contact, to dial the
contact. If you know the contact has multiple numbers stored,
you can say “Call <contact> Mobile” to dial their mobile.
• Speak a telephone number to dial it.
Tip: In S Voice Settings, you can enable the Open with the
home key setting to allow you to launch S Voice by
pressing the Home Key twice.
