Viewing a Text Message from the Inbox

1.

From Idle mode, press Menu

Messaging

Inbox and press the Select soft key or

.

Select a text message

from the list and press the Options soft key. The following options display:

• Reply: reply to the text message.

• Call sender: call the sender of the message.

• Forward: forward the text message to another person.

• Save to contacts: save the contact information to your Contacts list. Displays only when the number is not already saved to the

Contacts list.

• Delete: delete the Selected, Multiple or All messages.

• Lock/Unlock: lock the message to prevent deletion, or unlock it to allow deletion. Available only when the message is stored in

the phone’s memory.

• More:

Move to phone/SIM card: move the message from the SIM card into the phone’s memory or from the phone onto the SIM card,
depending on where the message is currently stored. The icon for the message changes depending on the storage location.

Move to my folder: move the message from the Inbox to My folders. Available only when the message is stored in the phone’s memory.

Sort by: sort messages by message attributes such as Date and Sender.

Press

to view the message contents.

To scroll through the contents, press the Up or Down Navigation key. While viewing a message, press the

Options soft key for these options:

• Call sender: call the sender of the message.

• Forward: forward the message to another number.

• Save to contacts: save the contact information from this message to your Contacts list.

• Delete: delete the message.

• Lock/Unlock: lock the message to prevent deletion, or unlock it to allow deletion. Available only when the message is stored in

the phone’s memory.

• Save to templates: save the text of this message as a Text template for insertion into later messages.

• More:

Move to phone/SIM card: move the message from the SIM card into the phone’s memory or from the phone onto the SIM card,
depending on where the current message was saved.
