Section 8: Settings
This section explains Settings for customizing your device.
Accessing Settings
� From a Home screen, tap
Apps ➔ Settings.

From a Home screen, tap Menu ➔ Settings.
– or –
From most screens, touch the top of the screen and
swipe downward, to display the Notifications shade,
and then touch Settings. (For more information,
refer to “Notifications Shade” on page 17.)
Settings Tabs
The Settings are divided into 4 main groups. When the
Settings screen displays, the following 4 tabs are located at
the top of the screen:
• Connections: Connect to wireless networks, including 3G, 4G,
and Wi-Fi, and to other devices.
• My device: Personalize your phone, including sounds and the
display, accessibility, and input.
• Accounts: When you set up accounts on your phone, such as
your Google Account, Samsung Account, email account, or social
networking accounts, you can synchronize information between
your phone and the account. Types of information you can
synchronize include contacts, pictures, videos, and other types of
files (options may vary by account type and service provider).
You can also set up options for backing up information from your
phone to the cloud, and back up or reset your phone.
• More: Manage security, location services, storage, and other
features of the phone.
